Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Brifli's website, mobile and desktop applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Brifli ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Brifli Does

Brifli lets you configure trackers for topics you care about. Our systems periodically search public sources and use AI to generate summaries of relevant developments, which are delivered to you through the app, push notifications, and any integrations you configure (such as Discord, Slack, or a custom webhook).

2. AI-Generated Content

Summaries and headlines delivered through the Service are generated by AI models based on automated web searches. While we aim for accuracy, AI-generated content can occasionally be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. Brifli should not be relied on as your sole source of information for decisions with legal, financial, medical, or safety consequences. Always verify important information against the original source, which we link to wherever possible.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. You must provide a valid email address and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Brifli offers free and paid subscription plans for individual accounts, and separate paid plans for team workspaces. Paid plans may be purchased through Google Play, the Microsoft Store, or directly through our website (processed by Stripe), depending on how you access the Service.

  • Billing cycle: Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on what you selected) until cancelled.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel anytime. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the Microsoft Store are managed and cancelled through that store's subscription settings. Subscriptions purchased directly through our website can be cancelled from your account settings or by contacting us.
  • Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. Purchases made through Google Play or the Microsoft Store are also subject to that platform's own refund policy.
  • Changes to pricing: We may change subscription pricing going forward. We'll give existing subscribers reasonable notice before a price change takes effect on their next renewal.
  • Team workspaces: A team plan is billed to and managed by the workspace admin. Removing a member from a workspace doesn't entitle them to a refund from the admin or from us.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to track topics intended to harass, stalk, or invade the privacy of a specific individual.
  • Attempt to circumvent any rate limits, plan limits, or access controls.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through automated scraping or abuse of our systems beyond normal use of the product.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission, outside of a team workspace's intended use for its own members.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) with reasonable notice where practical. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled when your account is deleted.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that tracking results will be complete, timely, or error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or available at all times.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brifli is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on AI-generated summaries. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers.
